This is often the big question that needs answered. You have made the decision that you want to fit a stove or wood burner but which one should you choose? Below are the questions that you need to ask yourself.
- What type of fuel do I wish to use
- What size of stove do I need for the job
- Do I want a boiler stove for central heating or hot water
- Which designs do I like.
What type of fuel?
You will need to decide between a muiltifuel stove or a dedicated wood burning stove If you are intent on burning only wood you will most likely choose a dedicated wood burner designed for the job and a range of these can be found in our Wood Stoves Category. Be careful to check if you are in a smoke controlled area as if you wish to burn wood stoves in a Smoke Controlled Area you will have to use an approved wood burning stove to suit legislation. If you wish to burn other types of fuel like corn pellets check out our list of multifuel pellet stoves that we carry.
You may decide to use your stove for central heating and if so you can choose a stove from our Warm Air Furnaces Category (under Wood) section. The boiler stoves come in various sizes and your heating engineer should be able to match the furnaces output size to your heating requirements.
What Size of Stove Do I Need For the Job?
Depending the size of the area you wish to heat you can choose from our range of stoves varying from 20,000 BTU - 120,000 BTU.
